What is social entrepreneurship?

Everyone is using social media these days to create and showcase their businesses. Social entrepreneurs in particular are taking advantage of social media to increase the audience, reach, and possible virality of their videos. Social entrepreneurship is a sustainable approach to entrepreneurship that benefits society as a whole. These people are dedicated to identifying problems and using entrepreneurial endeavors to solve them. They influence fields that range from education and health to environment and enterprise development. Social entrepreneurs are changing the face of society and are using social media platforms to do it. Send a Cow is an example of a social entrepreneur organization that is using social media to educate the general public. This organization aims to help African farmers get more productive thus raising their revenue and enhancing their quality of life. Send A Cow produces videos explaining how to optimize their workflow and develop graphic interpretations to measure the impact of their endeavors. They share all of that information on Twitter and Facebook with candid pictures of people they help. Not only do they help educate users about their cause and actions, they also reward the best enthusiasts to make them feel valued (Abi-Aad, 2015)
